Season Six: Alliance

Inversion is elated to welcome audiences back for in-person concerts during its sixth Artistic Season, Alliance. In the spirit of being together again, this season focuses on collaboration. Each of our projects features a guest musical artist such as local keyboard legend Austin Haller, flute and harp duo Chaski, and multi-string quartet Invoke. We're also thrilled to collaborate with acclaimed film director and comic book writer Greg Pak (World War Hulk, Action Comics, Star Wars) this spring! Season Six featured 28 world premiere performances.

Through the Prism

October 16 and 17, 2021
Austin, Texas

Inversion Ensemble presented Through the Prism, an exploration of unity, division, and social justice. The concert features young local singer-songwriter Ellie Kim as guest artist. The program included compositions by Graham Yates, one of the winners of our 2021 Sandra Fivecoat Memorial Emerging Composer Contest. Fascinating works by in-house and hand-picked contemporary composers round out the concert.

Menagerie

INVERSION CODA presented MENAGERIE
Sunday November 14, 2021 at 3 PM
Coda, Inversion’s 55+ ensemble, presented Menagerie with music about all manner of animals. The concert featured guest artist Austin Haller on the historic Holbrook organ and Cathie Parsley on the piano playing world premieres by Suzette Emberton, Marjorie Halloran, Adrienne Inglis, and Robbie LaBanca. Visit our Menagerie of penguins, cats, toads, cranes, newts, swans, owls, and, of course, tardigrades.
