ENTRY TIMES & CHECK IN
All guests will be asked to check in at the SIDE entrance, facing the parking lot. You will only be allowed into the performance space with others from your ticketing group.
Entry Times:
6:30 PM (Fri) and 2:30 PM (Sun): VIP entry into the pre-concert space.
Pre-concert talk at 6:45 PM (Fri) and 2:45 PM (Sun)
Pre-concert talk end at 7:15 PM (Fri) and 3:15 PM (Sun)
7:30 PM (Fri) and 3:30 PM (Sun): doors open for General Admission
PARKING.
Please plan on arriving early and allow ample time for traffic and parking.
Limited Parking. As many venues in downtown austin, parking is very limited. Our venue only has a small lot, which will be for ADA parking and those who arrive early for the pre-concert talk. Street parking is always available.
Public Transportation. Several bus lines drop off within a short walk of the venue:
Route 18 (Martin Luther King Blvd): Stops very close to the venue along MLK Blvd.
Route 5 (Woodrow/Lamar): Runs nearby and offers an easy walk to the building.
Other Nearby Lines: Routes 10, 20, and 320 also have stops within walking distance of the East 16th Street area.
Rideshare or carpool. This is always an option! rideshare or carpool with someone you know.
ATTIRE.
Some people dress fancily to classical concerts; others come more casually. Feel free to wear whatever you want!
SOCIAL MEDIA.
Feel free to take photos and short videos throughout the concert, and remember to tag @inversionatx on Facebook and Instagram!
MEDIA RELEASE.
Please note that the concerts are photographed and videotaped. By entering the performance space, you consent to your person being included in our photos and videos. If you have any questions regarding this, please email us at info@inversionatx.org.
HEALTH AND SAFETY.
Please stay home if you’re sick or feeling sick.
Weapons and illegal/illicit items. Weapons of any kind (firearms, pocket knives, pepper spray, etc), illegal or illicit items of any kind are NOT permitted at the venue.
THE CONCERT
CONCERT RUN TIME. The concert is roughly around 90 minutes, including a 15 minute intermission.
Here is the link to the full program. We suggest that you skim it before the concert, so you can be fully in the moment as we present this to you. You will be given a half sheet program tonight with a QR code to the full program, too.
We request that you hold your applause until the very end of each work. Your best bet is to observe our conductor in the middle. Once you see her lower both of her hands, that’s usually a signal that it’s done. Either that or she faces the audience. :)
